## What is MCP and when does it make sense?

MCP, Model Context Protocol, is a protocol that standardizes how an AI application discovers and uses defined sources of context or tools. It can be useful when an implementation needs reusable, well-defined connections between models, data and services.

Not every integration needs MCP. We choose between MCP, direct APIs and other mechanisms according to the stack, use case and company requirements.

Yes, provided appropriate technical mechanisms and permissions exist. We assess APIs, MCP or other available methods before defining the architecture.

### Is MCP mandatory?

No. We use MCP when it provides a clear, reusable way to connect context or tools; in other cases a direct API or another mechanism may be more appropriate.
